The HTC ONE X is HTCs latest Android device, the phone is a sign that somethings do get better after time the smartphone is the latest phone from the company that have produced a string of very lack lustre all of which being quite buggy with a poor use of the Android operating system as well as substandard hardware to match.
Under the hood the device has a 1.5 GHz Quad core processor, 32 GB of storage, an 8 mega pixel camera, 4.7 inch 720p display as well as a completely over hauled user interface for the new HTC device. The screen is an amazing quality screen, which is very good high definition, it is not quite the same quality as Apple’s retina display but according to the verge it is
“the best mobile display out there.”
The device is fitted with a micro SIM which is the same as the one used in the Apple iPhone and the shell of the device is solid and makes the device feel like a high end premium device unlike some of the previous HTC phones. The device does however look a little bit with a 4.7 inch screen to fit in the device is a reasonable size and looks pretty bulky in your hand. Sadly however even though the case of the phone is very well designed the home button does quite match the quality feeling a little less well designed when it is used.
Another downside of the other wise high quality device is the camera, while being pretty high spec for a mobile phone camera the picture quality and video quality of the photos taken with it don’t quite match up with other camera phones in the smartphone industry. Overall this is pretty much the cream of the crop for Android phones and matches the quality of the Samsung galaxy S quite nicely but it is debatable whether this matches up to other phone in the smartphone market such as the latest Windows phones and the Apple iPhone.
THe HTC ONE X and it’s lower spec brother the ONE S are available now on all the major networks including Orange, O2 and T-mobile.
